Cisco Webex - Using a Hotel Phone

Once I enable the Hotel Phone Functionality, how do I use a Hotel Phone?

Resolution or Steps

Note: If you haven't enabled hotel phone functionality, click here.

Option 1 – Sign in on the Hotel Phone

1.  On the Hotel Desk Phone, select the Guest In option.

2.  Enter your 4 Digit Phone Extension and Voicemail Pin Number.

Note: When entering your Voice mail Pin it is easier to switch the phone to Numerical Input.
Do this by Pressing the Option button and using the Down Button to select Input number.

3.  When logged in you will see a Sign-In Successful message.

  • At this point the phone is logged into your phone number and can be used as normal.

Option 2 – Sign in via Web Browser

1.  Open a web browser and go to https://settings.webex.com

2.  Log in with your StarID@minnstate.edu and StarID Password.

3.  Click on WebEx Calling on the top menu, this may open a new browser tab.

4.  Click on Call Settings in the left menu.

5.  Click on Additional Features in the top menu.

5.  Search for and Select the Extension assigned to the Hotel Phone you want to sign into.
The Hotel Phone Extension is listed below the time at the top left of the Physical Hotel Phone’s screen.

6.  The Hotel Phone will automatically log you in when you select a phone from the list.
This will be reflected by showing which Hotel phone you have logged into under My Hotel Location.

Sign Out of a Hotel Phone

Note: If you forget to sign out, the hotel phone will automatically log out after 12 hours by default.

Option 1 – Sign Out on Hotel Desk Phone

Press the Guest out button, and confirm that you wish to sign out of the hotel phone.

Option 2 – Sign out via Web Browser

1.  Access the Additional Features section of Call Settings on settings.webex.com as in Option 2 for logging into a Hotel Phone via Web Browser.
2.  Click on the X next to the Hotel Phone Extension under My Hoteling Location.
