How to delete the free Cisco Webex account linked to your StarID@minnstate.edu.

Resolution or Steps 

If you are having problems logging into Cisco WebEx, and it's asking for a password when logging in, then youur StarID@minnstate.edu was used to create a free WebEx account. This will cause a conflict, preventing your StarID@minnstate.edu from being added to the HTC WebEx system. Please follow the steps below to log in and delete the free account that is tied to your StarID@minnstate.edu.

1. Open a web browser and navigate to:  https://settings.webex.com

2. Log in with your starid@minnstate.edu.

  • The account password may need to be reset through “Forgot Password”.

  • This free account password will not be tied to StarID SSO Password.

3. Select the ellipsis dots in the top right of the “My Profile” section.

4. Choose Delete account and select Ok.

  • User will be signed out of https://settings.webex.com once they click Ok, and the free account is deleted immediately.

5. Contact Technology Services to let us know you have deleted your free account.
