StarID: Activation and Password Change

Overview

• The StarID is a username specific to each student, faculty and staff member of Minnesota State, which includes Hennepin Technical College.
• Activate or change your password in one place — starid.minnstate.edu — and it changes everywhere.
• The StarID is two letters, four numbers, and two letters, e.g. "ab1234cd."
• Faculty, staff and students are all assigned a Minnesota State StarID.

Benefits

• Instead of a separate log in at each college or university, you can use the same StarID across Minnesota State.
• Allows students to log into the portal, email, eServices and more.
• Allows faculty to log into the portal, ISRS and more.
• Update one password in one place.
