If you are a current Hennepin Tech student, faculty or staff member, you can install Microsoft Office 365 on up to 5 devices (including phones and tablets) for free. You will lose access once you are no longer enrolled in classes.

Resolution or Steps 

  1. Copy and paste this URL into your web browser:

  2. https://products.office.com/en-us/student/office-in-education

  3. Look for the area labeled Get Office 365 for free.

  4. Enter your full Student email address in the white text box.

  5. Click the Get started button.

  6. Click I'm a student.

  7. Click Sign in. 

  8. Log in using your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and StarID password.

  9. Click Sign in.

  10. Click OK, got it.

  11. Click Install Office apps.

  12. Click Other install options (other languages or 64-bit version)

  13. Run the online Office installer.

  14. Restart your computer to finish the install process.
