How to obtain a free education Bluebeam license.

  1. Go to: https://www.bluebeam.com/community/academic/
  2. Click Request a Free Subscription.“Bluebeam Academic Program webpage with the heading ‘Build your future with Bluebeam.’ Text explains that the program offers students and educators free access to cutting‑edge technology. A button labeled ‘Request a Free Subscription’ appears below, with a cursor pointing to it.”
  3. Change the Server Region to United States.
  4. Choose Continue as a Student or Continue as an Educator, depending on who you are.“Webpage titled ‘Apply for a free academic subscription’ with options to select ‘I’m a student’ or ‘I’m an educator,’ each with a button to continue. A dropdown menu labeled ‘Server Region’ shows ‘United States,’ and a link at the bottom reads ‘Learn more about our Academic Program.’”
  5. Fill out the form. (Students and educators have different questions - these steps are the steps the student takes.)
  6. When the form is complete, click Verify My Student Status.Student application’ form. At the top left is a back arrow labeled ‘Back to role selection.’ Below it is a graduation-cap icon next to the heading ‘Student application’ with the subheading, ‘Tell us about yourself to get started.’ A form appears with multiple required fields, each labeled with an asterisk next to the field name. The fields displayed are:  Degree Type*: A dropdown menu showing ‘Bachelors.’ Anticipated Graduation Date*: A date field displaying ‘5/29/2026.’ A calendar icon appears on the right side. Academic Department*: A dropdown showing ‘Engineering.’ I’ll be using Revu for a…*: A dropdown set to ‘Course – required use for all students.’ A small link under this field reads ‘How does verifying work?’  Under a section labeled ‘ Required information’:*   Change language option with a globe icon and dropdown currently set to English.   Country*: Dropdown showing ‘United States.’   School*: A dropdown field showing ‘Hennepin Technical College, Brooklyn Park, MN’ with a small ‘X’ icon to clear the selection.   First name*: Text field filled with ‘Test.’   Last name*: Text field filled with ‘Account.’   Date of birth*: Three dropdown fields showing ‘March,’ ‘10,’ and ‘2005.’ Text under the label says: ‘Used for verification purposes only.’   Email address*: Text field containing ‘Software.Account@hennepintech.edu.’ Text under the field says: ‘A student email address is preferred.’   A checkbox option (unchecked) with text: ‘I’d like industry news, Bluebeam updates, and event announcements delivered straight to my inbox.’   At the bottom is a large blue button labeled ‘Verify My Student Status.’ Below the button is a block of fine‑print legal text stating that by submitting the form the user acknowledges their personal information may be collected and used as part of the application process.”
  7. Click Add documents and upload files that prove you are enrolled as a student.
    • The website shows examples of acceptable documents.
  8. After you upload your document, click Submit.
    • Bluebeam will review your information.
    • You’ll get an email once you are approved. ‘Student application’ page. At the top left is a left‑arrow icon labeled ‘Back to role selection.’ Below it is a graduation-cap icon next to the heading ‘Student application,’ with the subheading ‘Tell us about yourself to get started.’ A boxed section titled ‘Please upload proof of student status’ appears with the following instructions:  Your documents must include: • Your full name as entered into this form • The full or abbreviated academic institution name or logo • Date within the current academic year OR no more than 90 days from today’s date  Below the instructions is a large blue button labeled ‘Add documents.’ A collapsible section titled ‘Suggested document types’ is expanded and lists:  School ID card with expiration date Class schedule Tuition receipt File must be .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf  Two additional collapsible sections follow:  ‘What happens next?’ ‘Can I finish later?’  At the bottom of the page is a block of fine‑print legal text explaining that by submitting personal information, the user acknowledges it will be collected under the company’s privacy policy and may be shared with SheerID for eligibility verification. A link labeled ‘More about SheerID.’ appears at the end of the paragraph.”
  9. When you receive the email, it will include a button. Click Create BBID.‘Create your Bluebeam ID.’ The email header shows the sender as ‘do-not-reply@bluebeammops.com’ and is addressed to the recipient. A yellow banner warns: ‘CAUTION: This e-mail originated from outside the Minnesota State System. Only click links or open attachments from trusted sources.’ Below the banner is a Bluebeam-branded content block. At the top is the Bluebeam logo followed by the heading ‘Create your Bluebeam ID.’ The body text reads: ‘You’ve been invited to join a Bluebeam subscription account. Click below to create your Bluebeam ID (BBID) and activate your license.’ A blue button centered on the screen is labeled ‘Create BBID.’ A red arrow graphic points toward the button. Beneath the button is a row of small social media icons. At the bottom, the footer includes Bluebeam’s address and contact information.”
  10. Fill out the form to make your username and password. Then click Create Account. At the top is the Bluebeam logo followed by the heading ‘Create your Bluebeam account.’ The form includes the following fields and entries:  First Name: Text field containing ‘Jonathan.’ Last Name: Text field containing ‘Neurer.’ Bluebeam Display Name (?): Text field containing ‘HTCJon.’ A small question mark icon appears beside the label. Preferred Language: Dropdown menu set to ‘English (US).’ Email (This will be your Bluebeam ID): Text field containing ‘jonathan.neurer@hennepintech.edu,’ with a green checkmark icon indicating the email is valid. Password: Password entry field with masked characters. A green checkmark icon and an eye icon for visibility toggle appear to the right. Below the field is instructional text: ‘Password must be 8–32 characters and include a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number and a special character.’ Confirm Password: Password entry field with masked characters.  At the bottom is a large blue button labeled ‘Create Account.’ Underneath is a link reading, ‘Already registered? Sign in.’”
  11. A window will pop up with the Terms of Use. Click I Accept.‘Bluebeam’s General Services and Software Terms of Use.’ The window contains a block of text explaining that the Order under which Bluebeam Software was purchased is governed by Bluebeam’s General Terms and Conditions of Use, available at https://www.bluebeam.com/Legal, along with applicable Additional Terms. The text states that using Bluebeam’s Software indicates agreement to the terms, and that any negotiated agreement integrated into an Order will take precedence where it conflicts with the standard terms. At the bottom of the pop‑up are two buttons: a white ‘CANCEL’ button on the left, and a blue ‘I ACCEPT’ button on the right. A red arrow points toward the ‘I ACCEPT’ button.”
  12. Check your email again for a confirmation message. Click Verify Email Address. At the top is the Bluebeam logo with the Bluebeam wordmark below it. The message reads: ‘1. Check your inbox to confirm your email.’ Under this line is a highlighted yellow text strip that says: ‘We’ve sent you a link to confirm your email.’ Below that is line 2, which reads: ‘2. Then, sign in here.’ The phrase ‘sign in here’ is a blue hyperlink. A red arrow graphic points toward the hyperlink.”email with the subject line ‘Confirm your Bluebeam ID.’ The sender shown is ‘do-not-reply@bluebeammops.com,’ and the message is addressed to the recipient.   13. After that, you can log in to Bluebeam using the account you created.
    • Your login is what gives you access to the free educational license.Bluebeam welcome page. The heading at the top reads ‘Welcome to Bluebeam!’ followed by a subheading: ‘Your email has been successfully verified. How would you like to get started?’ Two large option boxes are displayed side by side:   Left box titled ‘Bluebeam Revu.’ Text below says: ‘Download our best, most capable version of Revu yet.’ A blue button labeled ‘Download for Desktop’ appears under the text with a download icon on the left.   14. When you open the Bluebeam software, it will ask you to enter your login information.Bluebeam sign‑in page.
