Wireless Guest Network

How to log into Guest Wifi, our campus wireless network for those who do not have an active Minnesota State assigned StarID username and password.

Environment (Products involved such as e.g. hardware, software, network)   

Personal Device, Guest Wifi

Resolution or Steps 

  1. Open up the available network connections. This will look different depending on the type of device you are using.  
  2. Select Guest
  3. Web browser will automatically open. (If the browser doesn't launch automatically, open your browser and try to navigate to google.com and you will be routed to the sign-up website.)
  4. Complete Guest Registration:
    • Name
    • Email Address
    • Reason for access
    • Check “I accept the terms of use” box
    • Click on Register
  5. Enjoy WiFi

For students and staff, if the eduroam WiFi network does not work, use the Guest network only as a temporary workaround and consult the IT Help desk by submitting a ticket here.
