Resolution or Steps

Hennepin has created quite a few reports that you can access through our Hennepin Technology College Application. This article will walk you through how to access our current selection of reports and will provide links to the Salesforce articles you will need to learn more about using/creating reports and dashboards.

To see our existing reports:

Log into Salesforce, make sure you are in the Hennepin Technology College Application, click on Reports, and then on the All Reports tab.

“A Salesforce Setup page for the Event object displaying the picklist values list for ‘Calendar Event Subject.’ In the left sidebar, the ‘Fields & Relationships’ menu item is outlined with a red box. At the top of the page, the ‘Object Manager’ tab is also outlined with a red box. The main panel shows a table of picklist values with columns for Action, Values, API Name, Default, Chart Colors, and Modified By. Values include entries such as Admissions Event, CSEP Exam, and Nursing Testing.”

Here you will see all of the Hennepin Technology College Reports, a description, the folder it resides in, who created it, and when it was created. You can also filter your view by just the reports shared with you or reports that you created by clicking on the Private Reports or Created by Me tab.

If you do not see the report you are looking for, you can create a new report by clicking on the New Report button. You can make this a private report, so only you have access, or you can make it public so that others at Hennepin Technology College can view it.

“A Salesforce Reports page showing the top navigation bar with the ‘Reports’ tab selected. Below the search bar is a button labeled ‘New Report,’ which is outlined with a red box. On the left side, the navigation panel lists report categories including Recent, Created by Me, Private Reports, Public Reports, and All Reports. On the right, a list of reports is shown with column headers including Name, Opportunity Name, Created By, and Sub.”

Full instructions on how to create a report can be found here on Salesforce’s help page.
