Email Setup: Outlook iPhone / Android Mobile Application- Preferred Mobile Email Client

Resolution or Steps 

We recommend and support the Microsoft Outlook mobile application for accessing your Hennepin Technical College email account. This applies to both students and employees .

1. Download the Outlook app here: Google Play, Apple Application Store or from your mobile phone:

*** Note: When prompted to "Enter your work or personal email address", enter your MinnState login in this field (Not your email address); these will be the same login credentials you will use once you install the application.

2. MinnState Login:

  • Username:
    • Students: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
    • Employees: StarID@minnstate.edu
  • Password:
    • StarID password

Please Note: Once you log into your email on your mobile device, you will be prompted for the Multi-Factor Authentication. (Call, Text or Authenticator Application)
