I Have the Microsoft Authenticator App, but I'm Not Receiving a Code After I Submit My Password
You’ll likely need to log in to your Microsoft account and update your settings for sign-in verification via Text instead of the App. If you’ve successful logged in before, try on that device.
o Go to mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info and sign in.
o Select “Add sign-in method.” Select from the list of sign-in methods available to you.
o You may also want to change your Default sign-in method to Phone-Text for future use.
• For today, if you have the option “I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now”, choose that, then “Use another method” and choose “Phone” to have the code texted to you.
• If you don’t have that option, click on “More Information”, which brings you to a Microsoft support page. Try different options they give to see if one will fix your particular issue.
• You can also find more help at hennepintech.edu/technology-services/mfa-setup and/or reach out to HTC Technology Services (see contact info above).
